This is a bonsai stand you can use every day, outdoors under your trees. Or it could be used in a display to offset a rugged bonsai at a show. The design is inspired by an antique Japanese low table from the Meiji era that incorporated shou sugi ban or yakisugi in the finishing process.
The stands are made from hemlock wood and fire-charred in the Japanese shou sugi ban style and finished with a penetrating linseed oil that helps protect it from the weather and frequent watering. It's assembled with Titebond III waterproof glue and non-visible brad nails. I recommend reapplying an oil finish annually if you use this outside year round.
